BeU Swindon At Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2026

On Saturday 15 August we packed up our rainbow bunting and headed to GWR Park for Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2026 — a brilliant day celebrating love, identity and being unapologetically yourself.

What's On

A Day To Be Yourself

Our motto has always been “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken” — so Pride is a day that means a lot to us. On Saturday 15 August, our team set up our stall at GWR Park for Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2026, joining the celebrations as the Pride march made its way through town to the park.

Alongside information about our free mental health support, we brought BeU Bingo, a giant colouring banner, books celebrating identity and inclusion, and plenty of freebies — and spent the day in the sunshine chatting with children, young people and families from across Swindon and Wiltshire.

Why Pride Matters For Young People's Mental Health

Feeling accepted for who you are is one of the biggest protective factors for good mental health. For many LGBTQ+ young people, that acceptance can’t be taken for granted — which is why days like Pride, and safe spaces all year round, matter so much.

At BeU Swindon we want every young person to know they can be themselves with us. Our support is free, non-judgemental and open to children and young people in Swindon aged 5–18 (up to 25 with SEND) — whoever you are, however you identify.

See You Next Year

A huge thank you to the organisers of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride and to everyone who stopped by the stall to say hello, play a round of BeU Bingo or add a splash of colour to our banner. We loved every minute — see you at the next one.

If you or a young person you know needs support, you don’t have to wait. Visit our contact page to take the first step.

People often ask us…

It's natural to have an interest in your treatment. People often want to know what we do, how it works and whether it will work for them.

Here's our take on some of the questions we often come across.

Real Stories from Our Community

Hear from young people, families, and professionals who have experienced the difference our support makes. These are genuine experiences from people we've helped on their mental health journey.

I felt completely lost and overwhelmed when I first reached out for help. The practitioner really listened to me without any judgment and helped me understand that what I was going through wasn't my fault. For the first time in months, I didn't feel alone. They gave me practical ways to cope with my anxiety that actually work in real life.
